 CoSector University of London Recruitment Services is part of CoSector and provides a job finding and matching service to enable candidates to find employment. Associated services include careers events & fairs, CV services, and training for career progression. 

 Your personal data and your contract with us  

 In order for us to manage your registration with our agency and subsequent employment, we will need to process your personal data as part of your contractual agreement with us.  

This includes and is not limited to your contact details, bank details, documentation you provide us (such as proof of ID, CVs or qualifications). In the course of your work with us, CoSector may record information related to health and sickness absence as required by law. Throughout your time registered with us, we will contact you with employment opportunities, updates regarding your work, training opportunities and our other services.  

CoSector will share relevant data with employers in order to manage your recruitment process prior to and during placements. This will include providing employers with your CVs, qualifications and any other relevant information. During the course of your placement CoSector may share information with the employers relevant to fulfilling your contract, such as hours worked, sickness absence and, as appropriate, information related to performance and conduct. Also to fulfil our payroll service we share applicable data with a payroll bureau for Temporary, Internship and Contract assignments.

 If you breach your contract through misconduct or inappropriate behaviour, CoSector will retain this information as part of your record and you may be ineligible for future employment.  

How we manage your data 

Your data will be stored for the duration of your registration with us. After one year inactivity, CoSector will make your record inactive and your employment record will be retained in archive for 6 years before being deleted. 

CoSector will carry out reporting and analysis of its clients in order to improve and target its services. This is for overall planning purposes and will not result in automated decision making regarding individuals. 

CoSector may use a third party ‘data processor’ for certain services, which processes your data on CoSector’s behalf. If your data is transferred outside the EEA, CoSector will ensure that adequate protection is in place according to the General Data Protection Regulation.  

Your rights

You have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner - for further information please see: http://www.ico.org.uk 

Deactivating your service and stopping communications
