Executive coaching allows leaders to develop in a way tailored for them. Regular training does not always apply for those in executive positions, and we work with people like this to ensure they are getting the right training, allowing them to develop effectively.
Leadership and Management
CoSector has refined its own ‘Management Essentials’ course which makes theories of leadership and management highly digestible and offers the chance to practically apply the tools and techniques during the training. We have applied our management training successfully to a number of sectors. We cover sub topics such as ‘leading your team’, ‘New to team leadership/management’ – (aimed at new managers) and aspects of ‘performance management’.
We also provide a project management course, based on the foundation principles if PRINCE2, for those that want to use this approach but can’t commit to a full week of training.
Assertive behaviour is beneficial in a number of ways, from learning how to say ‘no’ or be able to communicate with confidence in your stance on a matter to being a better negotiator and provider of feedback.
Through a mix of short presentations, interactive exercises and individual reflection, we address topics such as: issues that stop you from expressing yourself fully, the ways in which we express and manage our emotions, and how to develop the tools and techniques to get your message across.
Career Planning and Outplacement
With over 100 years of careers support behind us, this is a specialist area for us. We understand that the career environment is constantly changing. We understand risk of being made redundant, having to move to different sectors or adapt to changing organisational requirements is commonplace.
We train people to take control of their career, upgrade their CVs and practice their interview skills to prepare them for changes in their career. Combined with sessions around ‘dealing with change’, we have successfully supported thousands of people in making positive career changes.
Personal and Professional Development for Clinicians
We have worked with healthcare professionals for 15 years, working closely with the NHS and British Medical Association to provide expert advice and training to doctors, consultants, medical researchers, nurses and pharmacists.
Our professional courses offer development training in Interviews, Assertiveness, dealing with Stress and working well with your supervisor. We can also run sessions offering career guidance with Core Medical Training, Foundation Years 1 and 2 and Specialty choice decisions.
Trevor has been working in personal and professional development training for five years delivering a wide range of workshops, webinars, and one-to-one coaching. Trevor has held various management and leadership positions throughout his career and has been involved in recruiting for over 20 years.
With a degree in mathematics, Trevor has a logical approach to training and support as well as an eye for detail. He has worked with clients such as Health Education England, The British Medical Association, Association of Optometrists and a number of high profile higher education institutions such as Kings College, UCL and LSBU.
Trevor regularly designs and delivers programmes bespoke to clients and is highly sought after for repeat delivery as result of positive feedback.
Tracy has been doing careers work with a variety of clients for eight years. She has worked with individuals from a number of organisations including the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), Cancer Research UK, the University of East London, Queen Mary University of London, the British Medical Association (BMA), the Association of Optometrists (AOP) and the London School of Economics.
Tracy has a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Kent, an MSc in Genetic Counselling from the University of Manchester and a PhD in Genetics from the Medical Research Council. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the MRC Institute of Hearing Research, as well as being a Senior Genetic Counsellor at Guy’s Clinical Genetics Department for eight years. She has a diploma in executive and corporate coaching and is an MBTI practitioner.
With over 15 years as an independent international trainer and 20 years in senior management, Trevor brings a depth of experience and expertise to clients' organisation and team development needs. He works with some of the largest and demanding organisations in the world, delivering inspirational and interactive workshops and coaching solutions to long-standing clients in project-led markets such as: Oil and Gas, Retail, Energy, Construction and Engineering. His clients also include National UK Government Departments, international public sector organisations as well as Third Sector Enterprises.
All workshops are designed to be practical with minimum theory, rich in tips and techniques to overcome the challenges of leadership, management and project delivery. He has the following qualifications: Certificate in Management, Diploma in Management Studies and a Certificate in Coaching. In addition to this, SFEDI accredited and a NEA certified mentor and coach to UK businesses.
